This serviced building was once the home of author W. Somerset Maugham. Now a serviced short-term apartment building, the flats have been refurbished and decorated in traditional English style. Rooms are spacious and have high ceilings. This is one of only two serviced buildings in London that have 4-bedroom flats. Enter into a welcoming small communal lobby that has a seating area with a sofa, chairs and nice prints and other accessories. A doorway on the far end leads to the hall that has an elevator and stairs up to the apartments.
All of the flats have the same high standard of comfort and style. Living rooms have a comfortable sofa, substantial oak furniture, cable TV, video, CD player, direct dial phone and answering machine. Dining areas have large tables and sturdy chairs. Large windows look out to street or garden views. Modern kitchens have a refrigerator/freezer, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer.
Bedrooms have either a queen bed or twin beds, excellent storage. Master bedrooms have a TV. Bathrooms have a tub and a shower.
There is a resident house manager, a video entry phone system. Flats are serviced Monday through Friday (daily by special arrangement). Additional services, gym membership, cleaning, shopping, fax machines, video library are all available at an additional cost. For an additional fee, someone will do grocery shopping before your arrival.
